The rod on the American hero surpasses the rod on The mach II I have both of these combos, but Ive had to glue the rods tip eye back on twice now with the Mach II it Pulled itself out of the tip of the rod , just by setting the hook on a Small bass, Didn ’ t notice until it felt different when I would cast and the Mach II costs a 100$ ’s more… The two rods are designed completely different in the way the tip is attached The American hero rod being far superior in quality
