Handmade in Japan, it is crafted from a jacquard weave with a Boro inspired texture, then hand dyed with natural mud on the Amami Oshima coasta process over 1,300 years old. The dyeing is based on tannins from the native sharibai plant and iron rich sediment from prehistoric fields. The result: an earthy, smoky shade with depth and character that cannot be
