The teeth are sharp and designed to be self cleaning but clean easily with any stiff bristle brush. This file is 9 1 2" long with a 7" long half round cutting surface that tapers from 7 8" to 1 8" and cuts on the push stroke. The teeth are very sharp and require only the lightest touch to work.
