There is both excellent intensity and solid density in the context of the vintage to the medium-bodied flavors that deliver better depth and persistence
rather jewelly nose – the Pinot most like a typical Central Otago Pinot so far to me (though this is probably not the intention at Felton Road)
this is best enjoyed soon
Here the nose isn’t quite as elegant as the Griotte as there is plenty of sauvage character but otherwise the red and dark berry fruit
coupled with powerful acidity and phenolic presence
Masi, Mazzano Amarone Valpolicella Classico Vintage:1999 There is both excellent intensityComplex nose, with soft raisins, earth, dried herbs, Indian spices and chocolate. Full bodied, with loads of spicy fruit coating the tannins and a very long, distinctive mineral finish. Powerful, but remains fresh. This is what Amarone is all about. Irresistible now, but will age very well. Fantastic. Best ever from Masi. Drink now. 1,150 cases made. JS
